The MediaTech Hub Potsdam is the leading competence center for digital media innovation in Germany. In 2017, the association of media and technology companies, start-ups, universities and research institutions was selected as one of the twelve digital hubs on the initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy – the only one with a focus on MediaTech. New digital audio, visual and video-related technologies and business models are researched, developed and realized under the umbrella of the hub. The interplay of future technologies, the visualization power of media and storytelling expertise creates industry-independent solutions that can also be used beyond the entertainment sector in industry and SMEs.

MediaTech Hub Management supports regional entrepreneurship and the start-up scene and makes the innovation culture in the location visible. As part of the Digital Hub Initiative, the MediaTech Hub is integrated into Germany’s digital ecosystem and the associated national and international network. Events such as the MTH Conference and offerings such as the MediaTech Hub Accelerator or the MediaTech Hub Space provide individual support and networking opportunities.
