Three years UNESCO City of Film Potsdam

Potsdam celebrates its third anniversary as a UNESCO City of Film this year. The Brandenburg capital is the first UNESCO Creative City of Film in Germany. Nowhere else in Germany are so many national and international films made.

To mark the occasion, a trailer was released by Patrick Wallochny from the company Ohne Falsch Film GbR – a graduate of the KONRAD WOLF Film University. The graduate has realised the trailer within the past year in close cooperation with the office and the management team of the UCCoF. Following the style of film trailers, the UCCoF trailer shows in just under two minutes in black and white images that film is part of Potsdam’s DNA. Among others, the Babelsberg Film University, the Potsdam Film Museum, the Unesco World Heritage Park Sanssouci, the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg, Studio Babelsberg and the Volucap can be seen.

The MediaTech Hub Potsdam extends its warmest congratulations on this anniversary!

About the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN)

The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) was established in 2004 to promote cooperation with and between cities that have identified creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development. Nearly 300 cities around the world that currently belong to this network are working towards a common goal: to put creativity and cultural industries at the heart of their development plans at the local level and to actively cooperate at the international level.
